HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY

Today at about 12.40pm, after my tea at LONGLY ROAD, I was walking through the Chennakrishna Street towards the Shevapet Main Road. Just a few seconds before I could turn left and enter the Main Road, I saw some cash like paper falling down 10 metres before me, from a two wheeler rider's shirt pocket.

I rushed to take it and hand it over to the two wheeler driver. But I made a mistake, I should have shouting at him. Because, by the time, I neared the spot, he had zoomed away in his vehicle, turning right towards THAERMUTTY.

I also walked fast towards THAERMUTTY hoping to meet him somehow. But he had vanished. I just met my XEROX SHOP friend and my LOVE BIRDS donor, Mr. Ramesh Kumar (name changed) and handed over the cash totalling about Rs.1,350. He folded it in a paper and stapled it immediately,  telling what I told i.e, "Let the true owner come and claim it or we put it in the temple offerings box or hundial."

At the fraction of the moment I saw the cash falling on the ground, a nearby shop fellow
also saw that and I knew that he too saw that. As I was picking the cash and moving towards THAERMUTTY he was calling me, "MAN WITH  BAG".... "MAN WITH  BAG and following me.

I knew that he was a drunkard and of poor background. And if by chance the cash had reached him, there was NO CHANCES of  it reaching the original person.

While I was picking the 5 or 6 notes fallen on the ground, a few nearby would have also seen me pick that, but would have to assume that it was my cash.

All along this guy was calling me, "MAN WITH  BAG". Hearing him approach me, I dashed to my XEROX SHOP friend and hand it over to him. I told my friend the fact. He too acknowledged the poor background of the person who came chasing me to the shop. He was challenging me for not stopping in spite of calling me "BAG MAN, BAG MAN". I replied to him that I never knew he was calling me. Then he went away.

I wanted the cash to reach the proper person or to a temple hundial or offerings box not to a drunkard.

Though the amount is a small one, I pray that the cash should reach the original person who had missed it.

Sending a bike in train

SENDING A TWO WHEELER IN TRAIN  -  My name is Sakthivelu Ramachandran [name changed]. I am studying MCA Post Graduation in  ABCD College of Engineering, Salem.  My native place is Kumbakonam and now I am staying in my aunty's house in Salem. My aunty has two sons. The elder son's name is Navaneetha krishnan alias Naveen, and the younger son's name is Venkatakrishnan.  Naveen is a Civil Engineer in a private civil construction company at Chennai.
