CHARITY DONE WITH A GOOD HEART WILL ENRICH THE LIFE OF BOTH THE GIVER AND RECEIVER

There was a very generous old man. Everyday he will give cash to others as charity  However, he will not publish that.

One night he bundled huge amount of cash and put it in a bag. Then he set out of his house. He wanted to get it to a person as charity. In the darkness he identified a person. Then he hurriedly stuffed the bag into his hands and came away. He was happy about the job and had a peaceful sleep that night.

Next day morning the news spread that somebody had given huge amount of cash to a thief. This message reached the ears of the old man who did that. He felt sorry for having helped a thief.

Next day night he again started with a bag with huge amount of cash. He recognized a lady's figure in the darkness. He stuffed the cash bag in her hand and hurried back  home. Then he slept peacefully.

Next day morning the news spread that somebody had given huge cash to a lady of bad character. Again the old man felt sorry about that.

Next day night he again started out to do charity. He was worried about the last two mistakes. He hoped to do better that day. He identified an old man in the darkness and gave the back to him and returned home happily.

Next day morning the news spread that somebody had given huge cash to a very rich person. The old man heard the news and was sad about it.

That night when he slept and had a dream. In that God appeared and consoled him. "See my child, don't worry that the charity that you did went waste. After your action the thief had stopped stealing, the lady had changed her character and the rich man also started doing lot of charity. So your actions did not go waste at all.

The moral is that, if you do charity to others with a good heart, it will do good both to you and the other person.

Let me also tell a latest incident related to this one. Once a person came running and handed over a bag with huge cash to a person. The person was stunned to know that even nowadays there are such persons to do charity. However after a few minutes the same person returned and asked for the bag. When he enquired why he is doing that he said, "POLICE WERE CHASING ME THAT WAS WHY, I GAVE THIS BAG TO YOU. NOW THEY HAVE GONE, SO PLEASE RETURN IT TO ME."

And then he walked away with the bag.
