2 The Lion and the Mouse
One day - lion sleeping - mouse ran on lion -woke him up -lion angry - 'I will punish you by eating you up - mouse plead - i will help you one day -lion let him go -a few days later -lion caught in hunter's net - roaring loudly -mouse heard him - ran near said 'Don't worry! I will get you out!' - nibbled the net -big hole - lion escaped
Moral: No one is too small or too weak to help another.
3 Hare and Tortoise.
One day -tortoise met hare - hare made fun of her - you move so slowly - tortoises upset - one day -tortoise tells -- "Let's have a race and see who is faster" - hare laughs - joking? But agrees -"all right, we will see who reaches that hill first" - race starts - hare runs fast - tortoise far behind - then hare waited for tortoise - felt sleepy -thought "I am fast, I can easily win" - closed his eyes -slept - tortoise came near sleeping hare -continued steadily --tortoise near finishing line - suddenly hare woke up - hare runs very fast - could not catch tortoise - tortoise won race.
Moral : Slow and steady can win the race.
4 Ant and Dove
hot day - an ant - searching for water - comes across spring - climb on a grass - slipped and fall into water - drowning - lucky - dove saw her - dove quickly plucked leaf - dropped near ant -ant climbed leaf - safe - another day - hunter saw dove - throw net - want to trap dove - ant quickly climbed on hunter's leg - bit him - leg pain - hunter net drop - dove fly away -safe -thanks ant dove tells.
Moral : One good turn deserves another.
5 Wolf and Lamb
one day - many sheep eating grass -lamb also eatong - lost its way - alone - wolf come - attack - lamb - lamb pleads, "Please, please don't eat me - If you wait for sometime, I will taste better." good idea wolf accepted -waited - then lamb said, "If you allow me to dance, the grass in my stomach will be digested faster." - wolf agreed -then lamb said, "Please take the bell from my neck and ring it. Then - I will dance faster." wolf rings bell - shepherd heard bell - bring dogs - chase away wolf -lamb safe.
Moral: The gentle and weak can sometimes be cleverer than fierce and strong.
6 Fox and Grapes
sunny day - fox walking - came to vineyard - juicy grapes in vineyard -fox looked around - no hunters -decided to steal grapes- jumped up but grapes very high- again jumped - still could not reach - grapes too high- it became dark - fox tired -stopped trying- walked away- fox said to himself, "I don't really want those grapes. I'm sure they are too sour to eat."
Moral : Sometimes when we cannot get what we want, we pretend that it is not worth having.
7 Thirsty Crow
one hot day - crow thirsty - searching for water - no water - at last - saw jug with water - very little water - jug neck narrow - jug heavy - can't push down - idea - put pebbles inside jug - water level came up - plan successful - crow drink water.
Moral: If you try hard enough, you may soon find an answer to your problem
8 The Milkmaid
mIlkmaid take milk from cow - go to market - sell - dream - buy hundred chicks - rear in backyard - chick grow big - sell chicks in market - buy two goats - they eat grass - grow big - sell in market - get money - buy another cow - sell milk - get lot of money - happy - dance and jump - slipped - fell - jug broke - milk wasted on ground - she cried.
Moral : Do not count your chickens before they are hatched.
