Tamannaah, or Tammu, as she's affectionately called, proved that she was more than just a pretty face this year.

"தம்மு" என்று செல்லமாக அழைக்கப்படும் தமன்னா இந்த ஆண்டு வந்த நடிகைகளில் ஒரு அழகான முகத்தை கொண்டு உள்ள  நடிகை மட்டும் அல்ல.

In the movie, "Paiyya", she played a girl forced to take a road trip due to circumstances. 

"பையா", என்ற படத்தில், சூழ்நிலை காரணமாக ஒரு சாலை பயணத்தில் செல்ல  வேண்டிய கட்டாயத்தில் உள்ள ஒரு பெண்ணாக நடித்தார். 

This brought a vulnerability to the character she played.

இந்த பாத்திரம் அவரை பல வித சோதனையான நிலையிற்கு உட்படுத்தியது.

In the movie, Sura, she was back to what the regular heroine did best.

"சுரா" படத்தில் அவர் வழக்கமான கதாநாயகிகள் செய்வதையே செய்ய ஆரம்பித்தார். 

She sang, danced and was the hero's centre of interest.

பாடினார், நடனமாடினார், பிறகு ஹீரோ ஆசைப்படும் ஒரு பெண்ணாக நடித்தார். 

In the movie, Thillalangadi, she played a character that handled emotions gracefully.

"தில்லங்கடி" படத்தில் அவர் உணர்ச்சிகளை நளினமாக கையாளும் ஒரு பாத்திரத்தில்  நடித்தார். 

Among others, she has the movie Siruthai and Vengai, as her future projects.
