HINTS DEVELOPMENT ANSWER
In this scene, an interview is going on for a TV NEWS READER post.
An assistant reads out the list of candidates to be interviewed to an interviewing officer. There appears a name - "TAMIL KIRUKKAN" in the list. The officer is attracted by it. He is called for the interview.
Vivek appears in a white loose dress that seems to be like the favourite dress of the Tamil poet, Vairamuthu. His body language also mimics the body movements of Vairamuthu.
The interviewing officer asks Vivek to talk like Valampuri John, a famous Tamil speaker. Though Vivek disputes it, later he talks like Valampuri John. Some health tips that generally Valampuri John tells in TV. It really brough out the essence of Valampuri John's voice and style of presentation.
The interviewing officer appreciates his voice and the NEWS SCRIPT is given to him to read.
Vivek tells a Thirukural before reading it. The officer enquires about it and scolds Vivek for wasting 5 seconds. He says that we could have played an advertisement in that 5 seconds.
Vivek carefully reads out the news script. But the officer is not happy. He says that his Tamil pronunciation is rubbish [he is "killing" the language]. Vivek is asked to get up from the seat.
The next person is called. It is a smartly dressed modern and young girl of about 20 years. She enters with a luring smile. When asked to sit down on the news reader's chair, she wrongly tries to sit on the interviewer's lap.
The girl reads out - line 1 -
Vivek comments. "Oh, this girl is attacking Tamil language with a bulldozer".
The girl reads out - line 2 -
The girl makes wrong pronunciations of words.
She pronounces THUKKAM [sadness] as THOOKAM [sleep].
However, the interviewer appreciates her pronunciation. Meanwhile Vivek folds the sleeves of his shirt as if he going to attack somebody.
The girl reads out - line 3
and again makes mistakes in pronunciation. Instead of ATTCHI [rule] she tells AACHI [grandmother or old lady].
Vivek comments that if the ladies of Karaikudi hear this they might start a protest. [AACHI - is a slang words for grandmother or "old lady" in those areas].
However, the interviewer appreciates her voice modulation. Vivek points out the pronunciation mistakes to the girl and makes fun of her.
The interviewer gets angry and asks Vivek to get out. Immediately he talks rhyming sentences with the words - GET OUT and CUT OUT [banner]. Then Vivek tries to tease the girl calling her "WITHOUT" [ a slang for people travelling illegally in train/bus- "without" a ticket].
He tells, "Hey girl can't you pronounce Tamil words properly." She replies, "Only when I am angry my pronunciation will be correct". Vivek then asks her to get angry and speak properly. She cooly replies -
"NOW I AM NOT ANGRY".
Immediately, Vivek taps her head and calls her "DUCK". She gets terribly angry. She gets up from the chair and shouts at Vivek and hold his shirt. She tries to attack both Vivek and the interviewer. She also tells a few abusing sentences in Chennai Tamil slang.
Vivek silently moves away commenting -
"Oh, there is a COOVAM RIVER - hidden in this girl's mouth, my friends. Please don't get deceived by her modern looks".
MY COMMENTS :
Vivek is very concerned about the mixture of English words unnecessarily into the Tamil language.
Nobody in Tamilnadu nowadays speak Tamil without a high mixture of English words.
This comedy scene questions this heavy mixture of English words.

My 4 months experience in working at Ayngran, Kilpauk Chennai -as a subtitle writer [in 2005] helped me in creating this script with a better vision. I assumed that I am preparing it for Foreigners.
